November Bookclub
Side note - I never know what picture to put on each post, so I hope you enjoy any random picture I find on my camera roll!
I am so excited to get stuck into book club over the next few months. I know I say this regularly, but, if you have any suggestions you would like to put forward I am all ears.
This month I have chosen Tom Lake by Ann Patchett, I have seen this slowly crop up time and time again that I thought it would be the perfect book to read. I’m a massive fan of Patchett’s previous work, I’m always recommending The Dutch House to those who haven’t read it before.
Here is a brief synopsis given online:
This is a story about Peter Duke who went on to be a famous actor. This is a story about falling in love with Peter Duke who wasn’t famous at all. It’s about falling so wildly in love with him – the way one will at twenty-four – that it felt like jumping off a roof at midnight. There was no way to foresee the mess it would come to in the end.
I hope you find the time to join me and let me know your thoughts. I will be posting a review and dive into the book first week of December, but the comments here are open for anyone - no spoilers please!
