I’ve not done a small catch up in a while and there are so many things I am enjoying and looking forward to I thought I would put it in a micro post.
I’ve definitely noticed an uplift in exhibitions that look good, I went to the Wes Anderson Astroid City exhibit recently which was (small but) fun. I’m still hoping to be able to catch it at the cinema or at least on prime. There are so many things at the cinema at the moment which I’d love to see, Barbie of course, Indiana Jones and Oppenheimer. I get a handful of free tickets with my bank account, just need to find a babysitter first!
I checked out the summer exhibit at the R & A which has become a yearly tradition, although I got minimal pictures of the actual art, this was the snap that I did get. great use of the coffee cup holder on the pushchair!
I want to book onto the Coco Chanel exhibition at the V&A which I’m sure will be amazing. The young V&A has just reopened which I would love to take my daughter to. I went many years ago and for a “Childhood” museum it wasn’t very child friendly. This rebrand I think has put children at the forefront and I can’t wait to see it.
The Ashmolean museum in Oxford has an upcoming exhibition named Colour Reveloution, dispelling the myth that victorians only wore black. I love an exhibition that merges art and fashion.
At Charleston house in Sussex has an exhibition that looks really exciting called Bring No Clothes: Bloomsbury and Fashion which is all about exploring the relationship between the Bloomsbury group and fashion and their impact on 21st century fashion.
Finally I’ve been working my way through the summer reading list I previously posted, but I have also bought a few more and I can’t wait to read them! Big Swiss is this months Audible for me, I’ve only just started but it’s great! I’ve also bought Toni Morrison’s Beloved, and They’re going to love you by Meg Howery.
